Join local organization FIGHT in celebrating the resilience of those impacted by the incarceration of Asian and Pacific Islander people. The free event includes dinner, performances and dialogues honoring the difficulties experiences a loved one being incarcerated. FIGHT, also known as Formerly Incarcerated Group Healing Together, hopes to create a community discussion in finding ways to offer more support for others.

In the spirit of International Women’s Week, come and celebrate black women diaspora through a day of networking and entrepreneurship. Experience a delicious brunch, networking and a panel discussion with small business owners. Support small businesses with an African Bazaar and buy products and services by black women in business. All proceeds will go into building the foundation of a culturally responsive small business training program.

Mar 11 Bar Church & HashtagLunchbag
Give back to the community by participating in a collaboration between Bar Church and HashtagLunchbag Seattle in making and passing out lunches to the homeless. Check in at 10am to see where to go, grab a beermosa and start making lunch bags! After an hour, everyone will be broken up into groups to distribute the lunch bags throughout the city. Everyone is asked to contribute $10 which will go towards making the lunches.

Relax, de-stress and get creative using your green thumb to make your own terrarium. Try out the new Redhook BrewLab in Capitol Hill and grab a cold brew at the bar before going through a step-by-step terrarium workshop. Choose from a selection of soil, charcoal, rocks and more but feel free to bring in your own decorations to add into your new mini garden.

Mar 14 Pi(e) Day Ice Cream Social!
In celebration of Pi(e) Day, The Cookie Counter will be selling mini pies including apple, cherry and oatmeal pear crumb. They will also be selling slices of pecan pie and a special ice cream pie as well as pie milkshakes! While you’re there, try their new rotating flavor, Boston cream pie and Chai ice cream. 15% of the sales will be donated to Technology Access Foundation (TAF), a Seattle non-profit organization that strives in equipping students of color for success in college and life through STEM education and supportive relationships.

Experience an open mic night to stop the killing in the Philippines as all the funds raised for this event will go towards the critical work of activists and human rights defenders. These individuals work on speaking out and organizing to stop the killings and uphold the democratic rights of Filipinos. All artists, musicians, poets, dancers, actors, concerned global citizens and overseas Filipinos are invited to help the movement to put an end to violence. For those who want to participate and perform, please sign up at the event.
