Dec 8 A Conscious Holiday Bazaar

Come shop for a cause and support local women-owned businesses including Dorotea Ceramic, Holly Haymaker, NuBE Green and more. A portion of the proceeds will go to local nonprofit organization, Mother Africa, to benefit their efforts in assisting and supporting African refugee and immigrant women and children to achieve better opportunities in the state of Washington. Jessica Zen of The Present Perfect will offer gift wrapping services and Nuflours will feature some of their delicious gluten free treats.

Dec 9 Green Lake Pathway of Lights

The time of the year has come again! Stroll around Green Lake and see the view of thousands of twinkling candles while enjoying complimentary refreshments and live music. Take the time away from the busyness of the holiday rush and spend this time with family and friends.

Dec 9-10 Holiday Mahouto Market

Experience the holidays with all things anime and Japanese culture related with this weekend’s upcoming market. Come dress up in your best costume and cosplay to get your photos taken at the Japanese teahouse photobooth. Get your fix of art, handmade goods and more from local artists while doing some holiday shopping. Do not forget to grab your favorite bubble tea from Oasis next door to top this magical event off.

Dec 11 Monday Night African Dance Classes with Nailah (Dec 11-Feb 26)

Nailah Harris substitutes for Sarah Lee’s Monday night while she visits Guinea this winter. Dancing her whole life and known as a strong West African dancer, come and participate in learning how to move your body to the beat with her.

Dec 14 Light Up the Night – Burger Fest

Experience Chanukah this year for an evening of unity and celebration! Set at Westlake Park, this year’s event features a giant outdoor Menorah lighting, gourmet burgers, hot latkes, music and more! All are welcome to join this holiday event and is free to the public.
