Kai Market is neither a typical Asian Market nor a traditional deli. Kai represents Uwajimaya’s younger generation’s vision of multicultural stores — smaller, elegant, and with a twist of the ocean. This is a small concept of the Uwajimaya’s family-owned business, a two women team who believe it is a learning lab for the younger generation.

South Lake Union (SLU) Kai Market’s Storefront

Located at 400 Fairview Avenue North, Kai is in a booming area of condominiums, apartments, and office buildings. With a wide range of food, beverages, and small accessories, it matches the desire of most millennial, variety and convenience. The grab-and-go bar has an appetizing and healthy salad selection, poké, Asian hot foods, beer, wine, sake and more.

Kai is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and closed on Sundays.
